PROCESSION FROM CRASH SCENE IN ZACHARY TO CORONER'S OFFICE FOR FALLEN EBRSO DEPUTY Law enforcement, firefighters and numerous first responders escorted Lt. Steven Whitstine's body from the crash scene in Zachary to the coroner's office in EBR. An autopsy will be conducted tomorrow (Friday) morning. Sheriff Sid Gautreaux says Lt. Whitstine veered off the road, hit a tree, then a bridge and landed in a canal flipping his K-9 unit. His K-9, Sixx, was also in the vehicle and suffered minor injuries.
