NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - UFC 318 delivered a historic night at the Smoothie King Center on Saturday, drawing more than 18,000 fans and generating over $8 million in ticket sales, making it the highest-grossing event in the venue’s history.
Daniel Rodriguez and Kevin Holland came to blows Saturday at UFC 318 and those in attendance at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans were treated to an all-time-wild brawl. When the dust settled, Rodriguez (20-5 MMA, 10-4 UFC) was named winner by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).
The UFC 318 prelims were highlighted by a streak of mismatches, which saw the early portion of the card result in a series of finishes.
The featherweight bout served as the second fight on the pay-per-view main card of UFC 318 at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. The fight started off at a methodical pace as neither fighter rushed the feeling-out process.
