In the final hours before Michigan's minimum wage was set to increase, lawmakers passed two bills that aimed to increase wages at a slightly slower rate.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has signed the two bills sent to her desk late Thursday night that change the state's minimum wage law and paid sick time rules for workers.
