The Dow Jones Industrial Average traded lower Monday afternoon, nearing the session low, as investors awaited Big Tech earnings, the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision, inflation and jobs reports due later this week.
Dow Jones futures rise ahead of the US market opening on Monday, trading around 45,160, up by 0.18%, during European hours. Meanwhile, S&P 500 Futures are up by 0.31% to 6,445, and Nasdaq 100 Futures appreciate 0.50% to trade near 23,530.
Dow Jones is losing ground as traders take profits near historic highs. Nike, which is up by 3.8%, is the biggest gainer in the Dow Jones index today. The stock rallied as JP Morgan upgraded Nike from Neutral to Overweight.
The moves come after Wall Street saw a winning session, with the S&P 500 posting fresh intraday and closing records.
