New Browns quarterback Shedeur Sander fell into the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft for a reason that wasn't apparent to much of the media.

The Cleveland Browns selected the former Colorado quarterback in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday, ending Sanders' long wait. Sanders entered the draft as one of the most highly regarded quarterback prospects, with many projecting him to go in the first or second round.

Born in Medina, Ohio, Allar led Penn State to the College Football Playoff semifinals in 2024 and will exhaust his NCAA eligibility in 2025. Boasting a strong arm and a 6'5'' frame, Allar has a prototypical NFL quarterback build, but he probably needs one more season of consistency to prove that he is worthy of a top-three selection.
