Depending on if you play in an early-season tournament, college basketball teams are playing anywhere from 29 to 31 games. With that, Kentucky’s Mark Pope is wanting to see an additional ten or so on the schedule moving forward.

Kentucky has dealt with a lot this season, especially when it comes to injuries. The Wildcats have been dealing with an inconsistent rotation thanks to those injuries, and it has caused unfortunate circumstances as the season has gone on.

Mark Pope was a happy man when he took the podium following Kentucky’s dominant win over LSU on Senior Night. As you might expect, Pope had plenty of praise for his squad following the 95-64 victory,

Mark Pope was as down as anyone after Kentucky’s 94-78 loss to Auburn. There is no shame in losing to the No. 1 team in the country, but the Cats didn’t do themselves any favors, turning the ball over 18 times and making just 4-17 three-pointers.

With the NCAA Tournament right around the corner, Mark Pope and his staff aren't too far away from having to start putting together the 2025-26 roster. The Wildcats have landed three great players in the recruiting class and have a chance to return some elite talent from the current roster.
