As Shedeur Sanders waited to hear his name called in the NFL draft, he got some words of advice from someone who knows a thing or two about falling in the draft. Tom Brady said on the IMPAULSIVE podcast that he texted Sanders to give him some words of encouragement during his unexpected slide in the NFL draft.

“Despite Sanders’ demonstrated skills and significant attention during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, the NFL drafted him at the 144th pick during the 2025 NFL Draft,” said the complaint filed in Georgia federal court by a plaintiff using the pseudonym “John Doe.”
