The Arizona Cardinals added a couple of unsigned players to to their futures reserve, inking them to contracts that will take effect with the new league year. They signed two receivers — Quez Watkins and Trishton Jackson. Watkins is a speedster who spent four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, so he knows Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon.

The Cardinals have Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson and Xavier Weaver signed, but wide receivers Greg Dortch, Zay Jones and Zach Pascal all have expiring contracts. Andre Baccellia and Tejhaun Palmer, each of whom spent the entire season on the Cardinals' practice squad, also have signed "future" deals.

Wide receiver Quez Watkins, who spent the entire 2024 season on the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad, has signed with the Arizona Cardinals for the 2025 season, according to the NFL transaction page for Thursday.

The Arizona Cardinals have signed former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Quez Watkins. Watkins was with the Steelers for the entire season on their practice squad, but never played in a game for the team. After the season, the Steelers did not re-sign him to a future’s contract.
