Many crew members on the Mexican navy tall ship that suffered a deadly collision with the Brooklyn Bridge have flown home from New York, officials said Monday.

Two crew members aboard a Mexican Navy sailing ship died on Saturday night when the vessel drifted into the underside of the Brooklyn Bridge, smashing its masts and rigging.

The injured were airlifted to hospitals in Miami-Dade after the collision around 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon, according to the fire department and sheriff’s office.
