Loni Anderson, best known for her role as receptionist Jennifer Marlowe on '70s and '80s sitcom "WKRP in Cincinnati," has died at age 79.

Blonde bombshell, actress Loni Anderson, has died just days before she would have turned 80. Anderson was best known as her character Jennifer Marlowe, the receptionist of the fictional radio station “WKRP.” Her publicist said that Anderson died at a Los Angeles hospital after a prolonged illness, The Associated Press reported.

Anderson reprised the role on The New WKRP in Cincinnati in 1991. She went on to star in The Jayne Mansfield Story, Stroker Ace, A Night at the Roxbury, and Melrose Place, to name a few.
