Gov. Tony Evers is asking the Trump administration for FEMA assistance as Milwaukee and other areas continue to recover from the weekend’s historic flooding.

"The damage throughout the area is overwhelming," Mayor Cavalier Johnson said after visiting home with David Crowley and Tammy Baldwin.

Gov. Tony Evers (D-WI) on Wednesday requested funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for widespread flooding in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Wisconsin Emergency Management said that damage in southeastern Wisconsin met the federal threshold to receive disaster relief.
