Tindall (reluctantly) spent six months attempting to go it alone at Bournemouth, but aside from his brief spell as part of Paul Heckingbottom’s staff at Sheffield United, he had never been without Howe for any of their previous 710 matches as a duo.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has returned to work after recovering from pneumonia. Howe was hospitalized after falling ill this month and missed his team’s games against Manchester United, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.
