Cameron Maybin knows Detroit fans are protective of Tarik Skubal, and he stirred the pot anyway. The former Tigers and Yankees outfielder warned the Tigers that if they don’t lock up the reigning Cy Young Award winner now, he would certainly look perfect in Yankee Stadium wearing pinstripes.

Long story short, almost every batter he faces is overmatched and it shows. Except Corey Seager. For some reason, Seager owns him. The Texas shortstop collected two hits in his first two at-bats Sunday night to move his career ledger to 8-for-11 against Skubal.
