The Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District called for an evacuation of the Panorama subdivision and areas east of County Road 100 to Upper Cattle Creek Road.

Three wildfires that started over the weekend on Colorado’s Western Slope have consumed more than 8,000 acres and destroyed at least three buildings, fire officials said.

The wildfire was mapped at 107 acres. It burned north of Panorama Drive, and below the Ranch at Coulter Creek Subdivision. When crews arrived at 11:04 a.m. on Sunday, they found an active fire burning in grass, pinyon, juniper and sage moving at a fast rate of speed.
