Back-to-back storm systems will bring the potential for severe weather and flooding to the South over the next several days. Strong thunderstorms could produce damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes,

Overnight, much of north-central Texas received 2-5 inches of rainfall leading to the issuance of Flash Flood Warnings for much of the Dallas Metro. That line of storms has now moved eastward, however, they are not packing quite the same punch, thankfully.

A plume of moisture from the Gulf will surge across the South through Thursday. A few tornadoes, including the potential for a strong tornado, and damaging wind gusts are possible for areas from Louisiana into western Georgia.

The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has placed Southeast Texas under a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe weather today and tonight, meaning isolated strong to severe thunderstorms could develop across the region.
