Born and raised in Delhi, moved to Mumbai in 2013 after graduation to pursue a career in acting, she has spoken publicly about the struggles she faced in the city as a newcomer to the industry.

Not many know she adopted two leopard cubs, Ashoka and Nakshatra, from the Lucknow Zoo at the request of the zoo authorities in 2010.
