The Los Angeles Chargers added running back Ezekiel Elliott for the playoffs on the chance they needed help behind J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards. Elliott, though, had his Chargers debut hit a snag and he wasn’t active for the wild-card round loss to the Houston Texans.

It appears hyped running back Ezekiel Elliott won’t make his Los Angeles Chargers debut during the NFL playoff game against the Houston Texans this weekend.

The Los Angeles Chargers will need to make some major decisions about free agency this offseason. However, one decision could be easier than most: one team cornerback would like to return.

The Chargers decided not to move Elliott up, instead promoting Jaret Patterson for the Wild Card game against the Texans. Elliott spent the 2023 season with the New England Patriots in a reserve role and then came back to the Cowboys, the team that drafted him at No. 4 overall in 2016.
