A season-best offensive night fueled the Phoenix Suns to a 130-105 win over the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.

The Suns listed All-Star Kevin Durant as available to play in Wednesday's home game against the Timberwolves despite a left thumb injury.

But the Suns are only looking toward the bright side as they return home after their five-game road trip in which they went 3-2. The road swing ended on a 24-point win at Brooklyn, the Suns' second-largest margin of victory behind their 127-100 home rout of the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 26.

Golden State and Phoenix will square off in a matchup of Western Conference opponents. The teams square off Friday for the first time this season.

The Timberwolves outscored Phoenix 30-14 over the next 10 minutes to deliver a 121-113 road victory over a team it is jostling with for position in the middle of the Western Conference standings. Wednesday’s bout was very reminiscent of Minnesota’s first-round sweep over the Suns last spring.

The Suns now hold a 24-21 record and sit eighth in the West standings. Of course, their star trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal have been major parts of their recent turnaround but so has their addition of Nick Richards.

Devin Booker had 31 points and 11 assists, Kevin Durant scored 19 points against his former team and the Phoenix Suns ran away from the Golden State Warriors for a 130-105 victory Friday night. Nick Richards added 14 points and 16 rebounds and Bradley Beal had 21 points off the bench for Phoenix.

The Golden State Warriors are interested in trading for Miami Heat All-Star Jimmy Butler, but the combined drama of him and Draymond Green could prove too much.
