STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Kia has issued a safety recall for two of its popular SUV models. The company has issued a recall for certain model years of its Soul and Seltos subcompact SUV vehicles due to issues that can lead to a stalled engine and increased risk of fire, according to documents.
Kia is recalling more than 137,000 of its vehicles due to a potential issue that can damage the vehicle's engine, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is reporting.
The recall affects 137,256 Kia vehicles that may have defective piston rings, which could cause enough damage to lead the automaker to replace the engine.
