Over 300 players took part in the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis ... LB Jihaad Campbell, Alabama Lions general manager Brad Holmes does love his Alabama prospects and Campbell took advantage of the Combine, both in testing an on-field drills.
Chambliss won two national championships at Georgia, as he was part of the teams that won back-to-back titles in 2021-22. His role gradually increased throughout his time with the Bulldogs, culminating in a 2024 campaign in which he had 6.5 sacks and 10 tackles for loss.
Joseph and Brian Branch are the starters at safety for the Lions in 2025, but if Ifeatu Melifonwu isn't re-signed, they are a little short on depth there. Hufanga was an All-Pro in 2022 but has struggled through injuries the last two seasons. He could be a nice box-safety option and provide some depth at the position overall.
Adding a defensive tackle before an edge rusher could be a priority for the Lions in the 2025 NFL Draft. Much of that depends on if defensive tackle Alim McNeill will be ready by the start of the season as he recovers from a torn ACL. The Lions may want to ensure they have good depth behind McNeill and Reader.
