Jacksonville International Airport will close Tuesday night as severe winter weather moves in, an airport spokesperson said.

From Houston to Jacksonville, a winter storm of snow and ice is spreading through states along the Gulf of Mexico and into Northeast Florida. Jacksonville International Airport will be closed Tuesday as a result.
A major winter storm that slammed Texas and blanketed the northern Gulf Coast with record-breaking snow moved east Wednesday, spreading heavy snow, sleet and freezing rain across parts of the Florida Panhandle, Georgia and eastern Carolinas. At least four weather-related deaths have been reported.
