The father of 20-year-old Sudiksha Konanki, of South Riding, Virginia, has asked Dominican Republic officials to widen their investigation into her disappearance.

Sudiksha Konanki, 20, was last seen at around 4:50 a.m. Thursday while walking on a beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic authorities said.

The agency said helicopters, drones, boats, divers and dogs were carrying out an "exhaustive search by sea, air and land.'' Konanki was vacationing with five women from her school, and surveillance cameras captured five women and one man leaving the beach at about 6 a.
