The "American Idol" alum performed a cappella when her backing music refused to take the wheel. Country singer Carrie Underwood gave an impromptu a cappella performance of “America the Beautiful” at Donald Trump's second inauguration ceremony on Monday when technical difficulties prevented her pre-recorded backing music from playing.

Jesus, take the wheel. Carrie Underwood had a quick response to the technical difficulties that preceded her performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday. The “American Idol” winner, 41, was slated to sing “America the Beautiful” at the ceremony inside the US Capitol with the accompaniment of the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

Underwood was reportedly not thrilled as how her rendition went down, according to the Daily Mail. She allegedly felt that she was not “afforded the same level of respect” as other singers have in the past,
