Kevin Durant became the eighth player in NBA history to reach 30,000 career points on Tuesday despite the Phoenix Suns’ 119-112 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

With a subpar 27-26 record, Phoenix needs a massive shift of energy. With Devin Booker and Durant leading the way, they should be able to get hot and rattle off a win streak to turn the tide, yet they've been unable to do that and sustain any success.

Ja Morant led the Grizzlies with 26 points. Desmond Bane added 20 points. Kevin Durant led the Suns (26-27) with 34 points. He became the eighth player in NBA history to reach 30,000 career points. The Grizzlies (36-17) led from the 8:02 mark of the first quarter until the end of the game.
