On July 22, 2025, famed heavy metal singer Ozzy Osbourne died at age 76. Although his family did not release a cause of death, he had been battling a range of health issues over the years, including a variant of Parkinson's disease. However, soon after his death, rumors spread that the COVID-19 vaccine caused his illness.
Longstanding rumours of a beef between Ozzy Osbourne and Ronnie James Dio – the man who replaced him in Black Sabbath – have been shot down by former Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice. When Sabbath fired Ozzy in 1979 and replaced him with Dio, Osbourne would have been forgiven for holding a grudge against the new man in the band that he loved.
Ozzy Osbourne was also remembered as 'Papa' in emotional tribute from Jack Osbourne's ex-wife Lisa Stelly, who shared that 'the world got Ozzy' but his family got a loving grandfather.
