Android 16's next big update brings auto-themed icons, and apps can't opt out

Starting with Android 16 QPR2, Google will enforce universal auto-themed icons with a monochrome filter across all apps.

Android will soon be able to theme every app icon, and Google Play won't let developers opt out

Developers must now agree to let their Android app icons be themed or they won't be allowed to distribute on the Google Play Store.
