Democratic Representative Jared Moskowitz has called for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to be investigated over the Federal Emergency Management Agency's response to catastrophic flooding in Texas.

The homeland security secretary said a report that thousands of calls to a disaster hotline went unanswered because of staffing cuts was “false.”

On Friday, he and other Democratic members of Congress sent letters to the Federal Emergency Management Agency requesting details into the reported delay in providing flood response.
