Detectives with the Birmingham Police Department are requesting assistance from the public in obtaining information on a homicide that occurred in February of 2022.

Police are investigating a homicide in the southwest area of Birmingham. It happened sometime Just before 5 p.m., in the 1700 block of Laurel Avenue SW, according to the Birmingham Police Department. That's near the Powderly and Mason City neighborhoods.
