Christian Eckes returned to moonlight in the No. 19 NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet SS at Sonoma Raceway and showed off with a scintillating second-place result on Friday afternoon. The NASCAR Xfinity Series regular recovered from an early spin to contend for the victory after rebounding from the tail of the field.

Under the microscope guidance of Bill McAnally Racing, Christian Eckes has become a full-time driver in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, which is just one level away from NASCAR’s Cup Series.

Day will make his fourth Xfinity Series start on Saturday and his first since running at Nashville Superspeedway on May 31. It will also mark Day's first road course start in the series. Day has steadily improved in terms of his finishes, narrowly missing a top 10 with an 11th-place run at Nashville.
