West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey has issued a state of emergency in Ohio County, West Virginia, after heavy rains resulted in flash flooding.
The West Virginia Board of Education placed Randolph County Schools in a state of emergency Wednesday following the release of a report raising concerns about the financial situation in the county. The state of emergency will remain in place for a six-month period.
Under Gov. Patrick Morrisey, the state has spent more than $700,000 in emergency purchases in an effort to fix glaring issues in West Virginia’s foster care crisis.
