In seven games this season, including a 21-14 home loss to Notre Dame on Sept. 30, Leonard passed for 1,102 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions.

Leonard has completed 232 of 349 passes (66.5%) for 2,383 yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions, while also adding 149 rushes for 831 yards and 15 touchdowns for Notre Dame this season.

Leonard was a threat on the ground, but Notre Dame held him to just six carries and just a few designed runs. “What I challenged them to be, I wanted it to be unrecognizable,” Freeman said.
