School threats are on the rise after a Jan. 22 shooting left two dead, including the shooter, and one injured at Antioch High School.

Police released 10 calls that flooded in as a student opened fire inside Antioch High School on Jan. 22, killing one student and wounding another.

Police say a shooting at a Nashville high school has left one student dead and another woulded. Metro Nashville Police spokesperson Don Aaron said during a news conference that the 17-year-old gunman later shot and killed himself with a handgun.

The Metro Nashville Police Department opted to permanently add a third school resource officer to Antioch High School as students return Tuesday.

A former Antioch High School staff member was arrested for sex crimes involving a 14-year-old. Investigations revealed inappropriate communication via Instagram, leading to his suspension and charges,

Two local students were arrested in unrelated cases for making school threats Thursday. In the first case, Dorrian Harp, an 18-year-old student at Hunters Lane High School, allegedly admitted to telling another student in his class on Tuesday that he would shoot up the school the next day.

On Wednesday, the Nashville Predators held a moment of silence to remember the victims of the Antioch High School shooting on Jan. 22.

Threats against schools and institutions are taken very seriously by the MNPD. Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.”
