The Minnesota Twins traded Carlos Correa to the Astros on Thursday, according to multiple reports. He will play third base for the team, according to MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand. The 30-year-old waived his no-trade clause for the deal to go through.

Per The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal, Correa will move from shortstop to third base to replace Isaac Paredes, who is out for the season with a torn hamstring. Jeremy Peña, Correa's direct replacement at shortstop in Houston, will keep his position. It will be the first time in Correa's MLB career that he plays a position other than shortstop.

Cease could just be a half-year rental because of all the starting pitchers on Houston's injured list. The Astros have a full rotation sidelined. Lance McCullers, Luis Garcia, Ronel Blanco, Spencer Arrighetti, Cristian Javier and J.P. France are all on the injured list.
