In July 2019, Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce tragically died in his sleep at the age of 20, with his cause of death later being confirmed as a seizure related to his epilepsy. Cameron made his feature film debut at just 9 years old, when he starred in the horror movie Mirrors, which was released in 2008.

Cameron Boyce's mom has thanked Adam Sandler for paying tribute to her late son in his new movie Happy Gilmore 2.
