Lorain Police Officer Brent Payne, who was shot in an ambush along with two of his fellow officers, has been released from MetroHealth Medical Center, according to the Lorain Police Department. Payne and officers Phillip Wagner and Peter Gale were shot Wednesday at the end of River Bend Drive near Colorado Avenue.

Lorain Police Officer Brent Payne, who was shot in Lorain while on a lunch break with fellow officers, was released from the hospital on Saturday.  According to the Lorain Police Department, 47-year-old Payne was discharged from Cleveland’s MetroHealth Medical Center.
