Wisconsin guard John Blackwell was named All-Big Ten honorable mention by the coaches and media earlier this week. He gave his reaction on Tuesday

On Tuesday the Big Ten announced Tonje as a first-team all-conference pick. He is the first Badger to achieve that distinction since Johnny Davis in 2022 and the fourth first-team selection in Gard’s 10 seasons as head coach.

John Tonje made six 3-pointers and Wisconsin tied the Big Ten Tournament single-game record with 19 in its victory over UCLA.

Wisconsin standout sophomore John Blackwell was curiously left off the All-Big Ten first, second and third teams on Tuesday.
