A local Virginia church is ending its contract with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts due to the center's new leadership.

Alfred Street Baptist Church (ASBC) said Monday that it was joining the list of groups that no longer would do business with the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The church, which says it is one of the oldest and largest African American Baptist congregations in the country,

Richard Grenell, the center’s new president, told a conservative gathering that the “big change” at the center would be a “huge celebration of the birth of Christ at Christmas.”
